Train-the-Trainer: Beyond the Basics is a webinar designed to take your instructor-led training to the next level. Using hands-on, practical applications you will learn to address the unique needs of adult learners (including accessibility needs), effectively plan your next training, and utilize tips and tricks to improve your facilitation.
This webinar will show you how to use a simple planning tool as a guide to make the most of your development time and more easily help you design an effective PowerPoint presentation. Looking to use tools to enhance your training? Join us as we incorporate a variety of interactive tools such as whiteboards and polls to gain real-time feedback. This webinar will show you how to effectively use questions to engage your in-person and virtual audiences, and help you establish rapport and trust with your participants.
The webinar will be led by a training manager with 25 years’ experience designing and developing educational experiences for private and public clients.

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

- Utilize a simple planning tool as the foundation for presentations
- Write learner personas to effectively meet the needs of your audience

This course has been approved for 0.5 CM points toward RBP/CBSP recertification. This webinar will be two 2-hour sessions on Wednesday, April 12 and Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 1:00 pm (CDT). For the webinar sessions, you should plan on logging in at 12:45 pm (CDT). You are required to attend the webinar session, complete and/or access all the modules in the course on the training site to receive the completion certificate through the ABSA International Training Site. The link in the invitation will be unique to the user and cannot be shared.

ABSA Members $225 USD
Nonmembers $360 USD
To obtain the ABSA member rate, the participant will need to be an ABSA member in the year in which the training is offered. Course fees include: course handouts, access to the ABSA International training site, and 4 hours of interactive instruction from a well-respected subject matter expert.
Group Discount:
10% off each registration for 3-4 participants from the same organization
20% off each registration for 5-9 participants from the same organization
30% off each registration for 10 or more participants from the same organization

To obtain the ABSA member rate, the participant will need to be an ABSA member in the year in which the training is offered. Confirmed, paid participants will be sent detailed information regarding the course within a few days prior to the course. Substitutions allowed with notice by 3/15/2023. There is a 15% processing fee for cancellations prior to 3/22/2023. Cancellations between 3/22/2023 and 3/29/2023 will be refunded at 50% of the course fee. No refunds after 3/29/2023.
