Biosafety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): How to Live in Harmony is a webinar that will help anyone who works in a GMP/quality environment that also must consider biosafety requirements. The webinar will discuss what GMP is, why it is important, and how to harmonize GMP and biosafety requirements and regulations. At the conclusion, participants will understand what GMP is, why it is critical for manufacturing facilities, and how to ensure biocontainment is maintained while also ensuring product safety. The webinar will be led by a biosafety professional with over 5 years’ experience in a GMP/manufacturing environment.

OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize what GMP means and what quality requirements are
  • Recognize that GMP and biosafety requirements must be aligned to ensure both quality and biosafety are met
  • Determine what needs to be considered when assessing or reviewing biosafety requirements in a GMP setting, including conducting risk assessments, reviewing facility designs/renovations, considering emergency response, and working with different stakeholders

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

  • Biosafety professionals in government, industry, academia, public health, clinical laboratories, and other institutions/organizations
  • Anyone who regularly communicates about biosafety with the public or non-biosafety professionals

To obtain the ABSA member rate, the participant will need to be an ABSA member in the year in which the training is offered. Course fees include: course handouts, access to the ABSA International training site, and 2 hours of interactive instruction from a well-respected subject matter expert.

There is a 15% processing fee for cancellations prior to 2/7/2024. Cancellations between 2/7/2024 and 2/14/2024 will be refunded at 50% of the course fee. No refunds after 2/14/2024.
