Application for Credentialing Maintenance (CM) Points

Before submitting an application, please review the list of approved courses, conferences, and educational programs available on the Professional Development page.

If your activity does not match a previously approved listing (year, title, and sponsor), a new application is required.

Please review the following before submitting. Applications missing required information will be returned.

Who Should Use This Form

• This form may be submitted by a sponsoring organization or a CBSP/RBP requesting CM point review.
  • If submitting on behalf of attendees, complete the application from the attendee perspective.

CM Credit Criteria

• Activities must include biosafety or biosecurity-specific content.
• Activities must be at least one hour in duration to be eligible for CM credit. Activities under one hour will not be reviewed.
• Activities that are part of your regular job responsibilities are not eligible for CM credit.

Required Documentation

• Attach a detailed outline, syllabus, or agenda showing both the biosafety/biosecurity content and timeframe.
• Attendance certificates alone are not acceptable for review, as they do not provide sufficient information about the activity content or contact hours.

Conference Submissions (Concurrent Sessions)

• For conferences with concurrent sessions, indicate the specific sessions attended.
  • Include the biosafety/biosecurity content for each session and the documented timeframe.

Submission Requirements

• All applications and supporting documentation must be submitted in English.
