Nomination Form: Early Career Biosafety Professional Award

The Legacy and Laurels Committee has established this award to recognize and honor individuals who are new to the biosafety field and demonstrate exceptional promise and engagement. While ABSA offers a range of awards for various member categories, this award is intended to specifically acknowledge early career professionals who bring fresh perspectives, enthusiasm, and innovative ideas to the profession.

Eligible recipients are individuals who, early in their careers, have demonstrated active engagement in the biosafety community. This may include participation in mentoring programs, contributions of new ideas or approaches, and a willingness to serve on committees at either the ABSA or affiliate level. These individuals exemplify initiative, commitment, and a strong interest in advancing the field of biosafety.

The Legacy and Laurels Committee believes that recognizing early career professionals will encourage continued engagement, foster professional development, and promote retention within the field. In addition, highlighting the contributions and ideas of these individuals will benefit the broader ABSA community by encouraging innovation and collaboration.

Nominations must be received by the ABSA Office no later than July 31, 2026.

Nominees must fit the following criteria for this award:
