The Chesapeake Area Biological Safety Association is pleased to continue to offer ABSA International Affiliate members ChABSA member pricing. This year the Annual Scientific Symposium and Workshops will be held in-person with live streaming. This is a great way to get your continuing education while increasing your professional knowledge. ChABSA has added a new feature (similar to our partner the AHMP Cyber Chapter) that we now have access to non-members to track their attendance on the ChABSA website. Also please note that the ABSA membership does not entitle the registrant to full member benefits, only access to your transcript.

2023 ChABSA PRE-SYMPOSIUM WORKSHOPS

The Chesapeake Area Biological Safety Association (ChABSA) is offering this year’s summer workshops and symposium through a hybrid platform. You can attend online or attend in-person at The Universities at Shady Grove, Rockville, MD. This year’s offerings include the following 3 workshops:
June 6: 8 am – 5 pm “Strategies for Designing and Implementing a Culture of Safety”

Early Bird Pricing (Though 5/21/23) $350 for ABSA affiliates, $400 for non-members, $50 for students.
After 5/21/23 Pricing is $400 for ABSA affiliates, $450 for non-members, $150 for students.

For non-ChABSA members to access your event history/transcript of events you have attended through the Chesapeake Area Biological Safety Association (ChABSA);
- Go to www.chabsa.org
- Cursor over the “membership sign-up” tab at the top and choose individual membership
- Use the following discount code (this only works for ABSA Affiliate membership) “ABSAAffliate”
- Pick ABSA Affiliate (the $5.00 fee will be waived on the next screen)
- Fill in the form and select “confirm contribution” at the bottom
- On the next page verify your information and hit “continue”
- Your registration will be reviewed and authorized typically within 48 hours. You will not be able to access your information until this is done.
- After you are authorized you can login. If you do not have authorization after 48 hours, please email crab@chabsa.org to check the status. Do not email prior to this.
- After logging in, a “members only” tab will appear at the top of the page.
