Arnold G. Wedum Distinguished Achievement Award 2002
The 2002 Arnold G. Wedum Distinguished Achievement Award is given to an individual for outstanding contributions to biological safety accomplished through teaching, research, service, or leadership. Donald Vesley, RBP, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MinnesotaThe American Biological Safety Association is pleased to present the 2002 Arnold G. Wedum Distinguished Achievement Award to Donald Vesley in recognition of his outstanding contributions to biological safety. Donald Vesley who has contributed to our profession in each of these four areas. His recombinant DNA safety course was widely distributed by the NIH and extensively used by many biosafety professionals during the '80s and '90s. He has provided leadership to and mentored many graduate students, some of whom have also been recognized by ABSA for their biosafety-related research. He has served on several ABSA committees and on our first Journal Editorial Board. |
